Yes, this is something you are going to see a lot the next few days, it is something everyone likes to post. Here is a quick summary of the books I have read in April. I did hit a bit of a reading slump, but did managed to squeeze a couple more books in before the end of the month.
I’d Tell You I Love You but Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter
My is this a long title to type out! I loved this book. It is a cheesy, light hearted, entertaining read. Something to not take seriously.
4/5
The Dead Girls Dance by Rachel Caine
The second part in the Morganville vampire series. I felt it was not as enthralling as the first one in the series, but was still entertaining. Again, it is a bit of a light-hearted read. I am so rooting for Claire and Shane!
4/5
The Chalkman by C J Tudor
I first saw this book in Waterstones; their edition has fantastic sprayed edges. I talked myself out of buying the book because I already had so many to read and no space to store them. I, by chance, saw this book in my local library and did not hesitate to pick it up. A well thought out thriller, gruesome and brilliantly written. *The book contains scenes, which may be a trigger for some people*
5/5
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
Another YA read, this one has a unique writing style, and metaphors are used a lot. I know the writing has put many people of the book but I love it!
4/5
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
This book was a bit hard to get into but after the first few chapters I was hooked, this book is dark and disturbing. *The book contains scenes, which may be a trigger for some people*
5/5
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
So, a book I haven’t actually finished, I picked it up from the library on a 7-day chart topper. I had to return it within a week and could not renew. I made it about halfway through before having to return it. This book has an interesting premise; it reminded me of the film ‘Happy Death Day’. I found the book quite hard to follow, and confusing. I will pick the book up again from the library one day; I do want to know the ending.
3/5 at the moment

Five and a half books read it was only three and a half a couple of days ago because of my stupid reading slump!
